Bring Your Personal Library to Life: How to Add Your Own Music on Spotify
We’ve all been there: you have a collection of rare live recordings, custom mashups, unreleased bedroom demos, or vintage tracks that aren’t available anywhere on streaming services. Instead of constantly switching between different media players, you can actually bring your personal music files right into your Spotify library.
Important note upfront: This feature—known as Local Files—allows you to stream your own audio files for personal listening across your devices. It does not publish tracks to Spotify’s public catalog for global streaming (for public release, you’d use a music distributor like DistroKid or TuneCore).
